After hours of travelling, I reached Milan as my first stop in Italy in the evening. I headed to the hotel directly for check-in before I go for my dinner. However during check-in, the front desk staff could not find my reservation at all. The
staff was quite polite and helpful, and tried many times to search for their own reservation system, however the staff simply ignored my booking confirmation email. And they said I can stay at full payment rate and I would get a refund if my booking is found by the reservation office staff next morning 9am - but I was leaving in the next morning 8am, how can I trust them I must be able to get the refund?
After I insisted, the duty manager finally make a call to HotellClub and after that my reservation was finally found. I believe there is some problem with their reservation office. Quite unbelievable that I would encounter this problem with the Hilton.
Besides, the number of free TV channels available is far less than other hotels in Italy during my trip.
The positive side is that the close proximity to the Milan Central Train Station. Nothing else outstanding.
