  • Kota Kinabalu in Borneo provides a gateway to some of the world’s most picturesque natural wonders, including the opportunity to witness one of the best sunrises in the world. Mt Kinabalu, at 4,095 metres above sea level, is the highest peak in South East Asia and for those who are up for a climb, this is a Malaysian must!

  • For those who want to keep the pace up and blood pumping, Malaysia offers numerous heritage walks, including the UNESCO World Heritage site of Melakam and the Dutch Heritage Trail with monuments from the Dutch Colonial period scattered along the route. For the more adventurous, the 7km Melaka Heritage Trail covers a large number of the historic sites, including the Christ Church, the Stadthuys, the Statue of St. Francis Xavier, Hang Li Poh’s Well and the Melaka Sultanate Palace.

  • Wildlife is of course a Malaysian highlight, with Orangutans, Pygmy Elephants and Proboscis Monkeys all able to be easily viewed in their natural habitat. From the jungle to white sands, discover rainbow coral reefs brimming with marine life and perfect for a lazy beach day snorkelling and soaking up the sunshine.

  • Being home to Malays, Indians and Chinese cultures means food lovers are also spoilt for choice with menu offerings as diverse as the country’s landscape. Everything from traditional Malaysian Rendang, Indian inspired Roti Prata or traditional Chinese Hainanese Chicken Rice, there is something to satiate all tastebuds. In fact visitors often find themselves planning their activities around their meal times!
