I had very good night after drivingfor about 12 hours. it was quite and clean. the room is good in term of size, tidiness and cleaniness. the hotel is located in the heart city street. the staff were freindly. the only thing is car parking price. I think it is over priced $ 38 per night.

The staff were friendly & helpful. The room was very adequate & clean & we would be happy to stay again. The only problem was taxis were like hens teeth & the area is not so wonderful so we had to walk a long way...lucky we like walking but if area is a bit dubious at night it is a bit of a worry. We chatted to another hotel customer who also had to walk due to lack of cabs at night!

I stayed 1 night at the Ibis hotel with my son last weekend and the service was excellent!!! I am very happy with the price as well, even my son (11yrs old) said that we should go back next time when staying in Newcastle and we most certainly will and I will recommend you to whoever needs a hotel to stay in at Newcastle!!! Until next time, Ingrid Hammendorp

Great location, nice and efficient staff but I did not like the idea of paying $12 for parking.

Sorry to report that this establishment is turning into a dirty backpackers delight. I've stayed here many times before in the previous 5 years and each time I visit i notice the standards that i found on my initial visit falling. Lets start with the check in process - the duty manager who did the check in looked about 12 years old - welcomed me back to the hotel, then pointed out that because I booked through a third party 'provider', they don't recognise this for loyalty via their LeClub promotion. I'm only a platinum guest with LeClub, but on this visit i was only a lonely scumbag who didn't deserve previous recognition. Up to the room - I need to urinate. Someone was really kind and left their body hairs all thru the bathroom - Cleaners? Thats probably a dirty job that they don't get paid enough to do - so leave it there for the next guest! I know I spent the first 20 minutes cleaning the room for myself! The room is the usual *brand name* bland space, with a bed and a fridge and thats about it. Nothing more, nothing less. The TV works, but the neighbour had his or hers on, so I really didn't need mine on when i could listen to theirs! Saved *brand name* some power expense! During the 'sleepless' night, the youth of the feral city of Newcastle decided to use the car-park as a venue to party - loads of yelling and shouting all night - no doubt the duty manager could have heard it and done something, but i am guessing he was hiding out pretending that nothing was happening and that his shift would end soon so he could party with them?!?! If you have an option - spend the few extra $ and stay elsewhere - i regret being so cheap on this visit to Newcastle because the standard of the Ibis here is falling. If your manager chooses to read this and wishes to discuss further, then i am only too happy to oblige and pass on my further thoughts about this POOR establishment. And if you don't believe the review, try it and find out for yourself!

Easy to book online. Easy to find and parking was secure. Close to Venue and other Newcastle attractions. Room was good, clean and very comfortable, could have stayed in there all day. :-)

I felt this Ibis was a convert from a Formule 1 - and it's still under renovation a bit... the rooms are not very sound proof so we were woken up by roudy guests that have come back from a drunken late night singing songs. Staff were wonderful though!

the room was extremely small, the carpet was dirty, the coffee mugs had stains in them,l asked if breakfast was included, they said no,only to find out on the 2nd day that it was as we paid for it.Did not seem to have enough staff,as we were being checked in he was also making coffee, then the chef was also checking in people. l did admire the hard work of the staff, particularly jonathon and Jessica who both worked front desk and cafe at the same time.

Very small rooms with a cubicle for a bathroom. Shower was not that hot. Parking is an extra $12.00 if required. Looks a little tired and not in mint condition - probably I would rate this as 3.5 starts at best. You have tpo leave $50.00 when you check in even if room is pre-paid - I thought that was a bit rude. Not sure i would stay here again.

the service was a bit average and it's quite a while away from the centre of town, but it was cheap enough not to matter too much.

Nice hotel - central to most things. Had to pay for over-night parking of $12, or park on the street. Tidy room, no noise, a decent hotel.

The room was very hot, but the airconditioner was too loud to be running overnight. There was also a lot of street noise.
