ibis Budapest Heroes Square
5 out of 5

Overall great hotel located very close to primary attractions, rich breakfast, close to subway station as well. Clean, well-equipped etc. Staff is less enthusiastic, paying less attention to clients, never ready to serve - staff needs better training! Another thing is that the beds are slipping/moving away from the walls even when you just sit down, which makes it very uncomfortable.

Everything is great except the boring, flat-faced staff. Not unfriendly, just not friendly enough. The hotel is the cleanest I have ever seen, food is great, equipment is all working perfectly! Staff has a bored, flat-face, they are slow and don't show much enthusiasm. Often they are not available at the reception and they kept "passing tasks" to each other, making me wait a while... It's bothering that the client has to fill out a check-in paper. At other hotels, this is done for the client. Or done electronically and only signature is required.

Good hotel, I have stayed here several times and found it ok, not exceptional, but fine for a couple of days stay. This time, breakfast was not as good as previous, food tended to run out and was not replenished in time, and the person who used to be in the dining room cooking omlettes etc has disappeared. I believe that the hotel is soon going to be an Ibis/Accor hotel, so it may become less flexible under new management and would lose its personal service ethic. Overall, this is an ok hotel that is quite well located, clean, and has ok service

Barely makes the four star category in terms of room quality, but clean and comfortable. Good front of house staff, but breakfast staff in a hurry to clear buffet at breakfast time -- not good for leisurely breakfast or business breakfast. Bar prices expensive, and also a reluctance to serve you late at night, i.e. after 11.30. Good for tourists, close to the baths in city park as well as the zoo and heroe's square. If you are out and about in the city centre, you need a taxi to get home at night when metro closes at 11.15, a little too far for walking from city centre. Don't use the "hotel car" to get to the airport or anywhere else. They actually call a taxi company which is quite expensive, smacks of a cosy arrangement either with staff or with the hotel. Better to ring a reliable company such as 222222 if you need a car.

Overal felt very welcomed and had some good facilities such as a sauna and jacuzzi which were not to be expected.

Its a little outside the downtown area (4km) but very well connected via metro (until midnight). Some attractions are closeby. My single room was quite and well equiped for this price, was a hot offer. Would go there again.

Location ideal beside Hero's Square and thermal baths. A two minute walk to the subway which is very frequent and takes you to city centre in Five mins. Friendly service.

5 mins to metro - very efficient and frequent (up to every 2 mins). Good service, reasonable breakfast and restaurant. Good staff, English spoken widely, as it is in the whole city.

We would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Just a few minutes walk to metro and bus service so getting around was really easy. The staff spoke excellent English and were extremely helpful. The buffet breakfast was superb and you could eat as much as you liked. Nearby spa bath well worth a visit.

Hotel was very well located to Metro (3 minutes walk) and also to famous hot spa 15 minutes by walk. Hotel was good and breakfast was great. But lot of American tourists stayed which made like one noisy place. Hotel taxi service was very convenient as ordinary taxi is horrible for charging so high.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, although being a vegetarian it would have been nice to have had a little more choice on the dinner menu (fried cheese/salad) only.

The buffet breakfast that's included in the price of the room was one of the best I've had in a hotel. Additionally, the location of the hotel is convenient to the metro system and a number of important historical sites in the city.] I would stay at this hotel again in the future.
