Great central hotel

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights recently and was very pleasantly surprised . Central location , a few hundred metres from the Tax department store . The rooms were clean and bed linens comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the included breakfast had a good mix of Western and Vietnamese fare. Would definitely stay here again for my next visit. 4 star quality without the price .

Pleasant stay with no problems

The only thing you might not realise about this hotel is that the ground floor is a jewellery store. When my taxi pulled up, I was a bit confused. The frontage doesn't look like a big hotel, but there's a white, lit-up sign clearly saying 'hotel catina'. The reception table is at the back near the lifts. My room was clean, my laundry was done promptly every day, the A/C worked (!!). I had a shower/bath combo. The room was bigger than I expected. I opted for a room without a window (cheaper option), but the room had a fake window with back-lighting that was actually convincing. Ha! The in-hotel restaurant on the 1st floor was mediocre from my 1 breakfast experience there. However, you're right in the middle of district 1, so if you're eating in your hotel, you're missing out. Just walk a few metres and there are tons of food options. All in all, no major problems. Would recommend.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

If you want a quick, tasty, cheap eat. Walk to Lê Thánh Tôn and go to pho 2000. Try the chicken curry with bread. Awesome. Also along that street is an abundance of foreign food, eg italian, indian, and some street food. Also, for breakfast, check out pho 24 just down the road. I ate breakfast there every day before work. Cheap, easy, delicious.
