First time to Seattle

New to the city, i got off the train, turned left, and the hotel was right there. A beautiful hotel. This is charm and character all in one, the staff were very nice, and it was very comfortable with a lot of space in the room. I liked the atmosphere, and a lot of locals clearly came to dine and have drinks in the lobby - always a good sign. Highly recommend.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Try Capitol Hill and Bell Town. Definitley take the light rail from the airport to the hotel. Too easy.

Not a Summer place

Great location, but this older hotel does't have air conditioning that can keep up with Summer heat. I can't recommend it for Summer stays.

game weekend at Safeco

Hotel was great, Staff was amazing but wish someone would have warned me that my $300+ second floor hotel room was going to be right above the practice/staging area for the Gay Pride Parade. I did not appreciate bagpipe practice at 8 something in the morning after being out all night!

Great weekend getaway, but..

Staff was courteous, helpful and accomodating. I was hoping for just a little more ooomph with the room. I had booked an Executive Suite and even was upgraded to a Deluxe Executive, but it felt more like a regular, vanilla hotel room than a luxury suite.

Service and rooms were excellent,

Service and rooms were excellent, however we had booked a non-smoking twin room and when we got there it wasn't available. We were then offered a queen bed room which wasn't suitable to us or a twin room on a "smoking optional" floor. We were reassured that even if there had been smokers there before us, the room would be deep cleaned and smoke smell shouldn't be a problem. Wrong! Even after spraying with "Oust" ourselves, the room still smelled bad, especially when we came back that night to sleep. Too late to change rooms by then unfortunately, but I would never recommend agreeing to a smoking floor if you're a non-smoker.
