We stayed because we received a great deal. It's on the UES between 92-93rd St. One block over from and a couple blocks down to the entrance to the Park. about 10 minutes from the 96th/Lexington local #6 Station.
The hotel was nice, has a great
roof top deck and has a huge salon where you can help yourself to coffee and tea 24hrs a day.
The Carnegie Suite was good for 3 people, 4 would have been too tight I think. The queen pull out sofa was fine.
If you're visiting the area and taking advantage of the museums on the UES this would be a great stopping place.
Our trip had us going to 4 shows and doing some shopping downtown etc.
so the location wasn't great. We didn't really have time to explore the area. We tried to come back and get a late dinner after a show and everything was closing and we ended up a grocery store grabbing what snacks we could since dinner wasn't an option anymore.
So if your staying in the area, Hotel Wales is a great place. If you're going for shows, shopping etc. you may want to be closer to mid town.
Overall though a good hotel.
