Big Birthday Trip

Hadn't been to the Mirage in 10-12 years because of a bad experience, but a buddy told me he always goes there for the opening week of the March Madness. So I went for the Elite Eight. Love the Sport's Book bet on the ponies, games and played black jack. Went to Tom Colicchio's Restaurant the food was great, the server was not-pompous and way too talkative. The rest of the staff were courteous, pleasant and quite obviously well trained. Some of the Black Jack dealers, mainly elderly woman were pretty dour no smiles to be had there But all in all I was plenty surprised. Would I stay there again? At the right price yes I would. Would I go to the Sport's Book again? Absolutely. The restaurant? Probably not I did like Joes Prime Rib, Steak and Stone Crab next door at Caesar's Forum shops Fabulous Food and Fabulous service in the same price range:$$$$$

Great Hotel Choice for Vegas

I was really very impressed with the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas. They have renovated the rooms and they are really beautifully decorated and very large rooms. I requested a room on an upper floor and ended up on the 22nd of 23 floors. I also requested a Volcano view (view of the strip), which was nice -- although you can definitely hear the volcano show outside every 30 min at night until midnight. Make sure you request a room close to the elevators as the hallways are VERY long. Be warned that minibar items are more expensive than usual ($15 for a small bottle of Vodka!?! $8 for a bottle of water) -- but there is a Walgreens across the street, so you might want to stock up before coming back to your room. There were many choices of restaurants in the hotel and it is centrally located in case you want to walk to one of the other hotels or restaurants on the strip. Overall, very much enjoyed the stay and would stay here again.

Awesome place to stay

Quite a large hotel, casino. Check in was very efficient, professional and a warm welcome. It is Vegas and in a casino so it is exactly that, full of activity and action and very large so get used to walking! However once in the very comfortable and reasonable sized room it was very quiet, an oasis from all the hype outside. We opted for a room with a few and it was amazing to see the strip at night, very pretty. Our room was cleaned beautifully when we left for the day. We found all the staff friendly and willing to help. Right on the strip so excellent location.

great stay

We stayed for 4 nights, ended up eating at the hotel each evening, great selection of different styles. The buffet in particular offered great value, especially on the night we ate there it offered complimentary beer and wine throughout the meal. Our only grumble was the WiFi was unreliable in the room.
