cool stay

The stratosphere was very decent. The room was comfortable & clean. It wasn't the strip view that it was supposed to be. Had a view of the mountains & city lights but i would've preferred the strip lights.

good choice

You can get some good deals at this hotel and save money for the pricey shows, gambling and dinners. Stratosphere is located near Downtown Vegas, which is a good alternative to the Strip, and much cheaper. Its walkable to the strip, take a taxi or buy tix for the BigBus which stops right outside the hotel. Always look for the specials, coupons etc etc. Vegas is about findning the best offer. Its a huge hotel, so yes you will have to line up for check in, but they work quite fast and staff are courteous and helpful. The whole lobby is, off course, a casino with shops, bars etc. First floor has more shops, eateries and the elevator to the tower which is included in the room rate. Top offers restaurant and fun fair and the skyjump. All very pricey but fun for those who dare to try it. My room was in the central part of the hotel, 22nd floor which was a smoking floor- YES Vegas actually accept smoking guests, which is rare in the US. What a relief. Wouldnt smoke inside myself, which is also allowed. So for those who complaints that Vegas is full of smoke, theyre are right and should stay away if they have a problem about this. Non smokers has so many places they can go- Vegas is tolerant. Thumbs up! Room is quite big, not new, not posh but has everything you need incl great views of the city, cable tv, wifi which is included in the resortfee of usd20 per day. Dont act surpriced, it is stated everywhere on bookingsites etc..Cleaning is so and so. I found most staff very friendly and helpful. Vegas is what it is and so is the Stratosphere, fun and laid back, either you love it or maybe you dont. I Loved Vegas and will come back, and would have no hesitation staying at the Stratosphere.

Bare bones Vegas Strip hotel.

This is the second time I've stayed in Vegas and on the strip. The Stratosphere was too far away from anything, and was just so so overall. The buffet was not at all impressive, and the casino waitstaff was less than adequate. The bathroom was super small, and no coffee maker in the room! Definitely would not stay at The Stratosphere again!

Good for price

Hotel was nice for price, plus casino has $5 tables, which is nice compared to the big name hotels. The only thing about being at the far end of the Strip is you have to take a taxis if you want to get to the funner hotels, which could add up back and forth everyday.
