Travelling with large group

The beach was closed because of the time of year, which was fine. The staff were extremely helpful, especially Molly at check-in. The resort fee is terrible for most Las Vegas hotels, because it's hard to feel like you're getting your money's worth. Unfortunately we tried to recoup that fee in other ways, like not tipping housekeeping or at the buffet, which is unfortunate that those staff had to suffer as a result of a high resort fee for little amenities in return. The flavoured water in the lobby is a nice touch, but no in-room kettles? That's ludicrous. The location is very south on the Strip, so if you're looking to do a lot of activities elsewhere, staying at the north end would be a better bet.

Wonderful romantic getaway

My hubs and I had tickets to see Dave Chappelle at the hotel and opted to also sleep in the same hotel. We received a complimentary upgrade to a more spacious suite and we truly appreciate it. Everyone was nice and friendly from the front desk agent to the waitress at the restaurant. I would love to stay here again

Comfortable, Quiet, Nice Hotel

The hotel is very nice and also pretty easy to navigate. It's at the very south end of the strip, but it's a quick 15 minute walk to MGM, NY NY, etc. Alternatively, it's a pretty cheap cab ride up there if you don't want to walk. We were only there a night so we didn't get to the pool or anything, but I was very happy with our stay. If you're looking for a big party scene, this is not the hotel for you, but if you want a nice place to stay after you're done partying, then this place is golden.

Not impressed

My wife and I booked a King spa suite.at Mandalay Bay. Upon arrival, reception wanted to "upgrade" us to another suite at The Hotel. We accepted. After wandering around the casino we finally found the reception for The Hotel. The "upgraded" room was a suite, no spa, and had two queen beds. Forty - five minutes later we got a suite with King bed.

Mandalay Bay is Excellent!

When you enter the lobby it smells heavenly with huge fresh flower arrangements. The service is excellent and the resort was very clean considering the thousands of people staying there it was remarkable! We would not stay anywhere else in Vegas our experience was so good. The spa was also great!

If you are staying at Mandalay and want to see Freemont Street/Old Las Vegas DRIVE there yourself and park for free at the Golden Nugget. The bus takes much longer.

Great Hotel, but getting overcrowded

This was my third stay at the MB Hotel. The kids love the pool and the rooms are really nice. It also seems less smokey than other Casinos. However, be prepared for long lines at check in/check out, the buffet, luggage assistance and/or to get your car. We lost an afternoon at the pool due to these lines and an earlier than expected pool closure.

Mediocre

We arrived 9pm on saturday evening and the suite we had booked (an pre-paid for through this site) was not available. We were told that people don't sometimes show up so rooms can be given away. We had prepaid and I had called the day before to make sure we would have two queen beds in our suite. That was still not enough to confirm that we intend on being there and would want the room we booked? We were given a smaller ("deluxe") room on the higher floors instead and had to move the next day. This may be standard hotel policy for any hotel in Vegas but I'm less inclined to stay at the Mandalay again with this kind of service.
