Consider your needs/purposes for a Las Vegas hotel carefully.

I booked a room at Circus Circus on my girlfriend's recommendation. We were traveling through Vegas on our way to Utah, so really had no desire to do any of the casino stuff or shows. In that respect I think we overpaid for what we were looking for: basic/clean accommodations for a night while passing through town. The parking/layout of the place is a bit byzantine. The room we were booked in (which, admittedly was at a pretty low rate of around $40/night) was acceptable, but difficult to get to from where we'd parked. We are cycling enthusiasts so, additionally, had to wrangle our bikes through elevators and through a rather confusingly laid-out "campus" of a hotel complex. We stayed in the "manor" area which looks more 4 rows of a ghetto motel than anything that belongs with the main hotel itself. Then there's the $14.50 "resort fee" which I don't really understand the point of. This seems to have been a waste. In conclusion: if you're looking for a place to stay while passing through vegas, don't waste your time on this place. Stay somewhere on the outskirts that's less crowded and has better logistics and no resort fee.

Loved It

Checked in to the hotel but was told that there was no reservation although I full paid for it. But they gave me a room anyway and that they would check with the agent. Room was on the top floor with a fantastic view. Everything was settled by the next day. Had the buffet dinner in the hotel which the kids loved so much that we went again the next day. Location was on the strip itself but as there were a couple of hotels beside it having renovations it seemed kind of far from the action but we had no issues.

so so stay

My experience was not the best. I was not able to check in with ease. I was told they have my reservation & i would have to wait. I think I should get a one night courtesy stay so I could experience a full day in the room. Considering it took about 2 hours to get in my room, after such an inconvenience.

Circus Circus, a real zoo, zoo

It is hard to express how disappointed I was with my stay at Circus Circus in Las Vegas....but let me try. I stayed in one of the 3-story Manor out-buildings, they are very dated and in need of some serious updating. The paint was cracked and chipping on the bathroom door, the toilet was cleaned with a brush that left gray lines from a brush that was lacking bristles. The bed mattress was old and uncomfortable, the TV set was an old fashion low-def tube type. When you check in, they charge what sounded like a mandatory fee to get internet and money off at some of their restaurants, it was a total rip-off. Unless you get a really cheap bargain on-line for this place, I would avoid it if you possibly can. Besides, it is in a bad part of town, all the newer modern places are a very long walk or taxi ride away.
