bad service

The phone lines weren't working during our stay so at one point we had to actually go to the front desk just to ask for more towels and toiletries. One time I called from my cellphone to ask for more cups and housekeeping told me they would send them right over and never did. One time I called to ask them to call taxis for us (because sometimes cabs don't stop at Alexis Park) and the staff member hung up on me. Moreover, I believe that one of the staff members lied to me about a room being renovated. When I was checking into my second room, he said that the first room I had stayed in wasn't renovated though the first staff member had told me the day before that it was. I think he lied to me to appease me because I asked for a renovated room. If there are none available, then that's fine but don't lie about it. Also, I attempted to check in a few hours early, and they said they literally had NO rooms cleaned by then, which I find hard to believe. It made the process very inconvenient. Last time I booked with them, they allowed me to check in online before my arrival and say which check-in time I preferred. That would have been really helpful this time. Their check-in time, 4pm is also later than most hotels and very inconvenient. The rooms are pretty spacious and nice! However, the floor really needs to be cleaned better, as the carpet is VERY dirty. There was also a very bad moth problem during our stay.

Quiet hotel

Compared to other hotels in Vegas, this one is not like the others you can find on the Strip. There is no casino inside. Hence, there is less people, this is much quierer and basically, a better place to relax and have holidays or business trip. There are 3 swimming pools. You are supposed to pay to have the wifi in your room, but if you connect first from the lobby then, the connection from your room is for free... Good tip ;)

A nice Vegas experience

First impression: Beautiful resort. Let's talk amenities. Dining area is adequately sized. We only did the buffet for breakfast. Variety and taste of food was average. There is a tiny convenience store attached to the lobby and adequately stocked for supplies and snacks. Keep in mind it closes at 9:45 pm. There are 3 pools, none of which were open due to the time of year, but looked good. I was pleasantly surprised at the fitness center. It had a decent variety of equipment for strength and cardio. Good size room with towels, water, 2 TVs, 2 stability balls (desperately needing air), restrooms with a shower. Now let's talk location. About 2 blocks from the strip and nearly across the street from the Hard Rock hotel. We were located near the very back of the resort in bldg 27 and didn't hear any traffic. Could hear aircraft from nearby airport especially in the morning. Room cleanliness. Typical and comparative for hotels. I noticed some cobwebs in window sills but nothing was disgusting. We checked in on Tuesday and didn't see our room cleaned until Friday. We didn't call anyone, just made due with "borrowed" towels from the gym or reusing bath towels. It was probably an oversight. Room comfort. Perfectly fine. We stayed in a 2-level suite. Halfway up the stairs where the stairs bend 90 degrees to the right, there was a jet tub. It was a 2-seater and we used it once. It was nice. One design flaw though. The spout to fill the tub was located directly behind one of the seats so when you sit there, the back of your head conks the spout. It should have been located off to the side. Staff. Friendly, adequate. Value. Probably won't stay there again because we like to try different things and go to different places for variety. I thought for what I was paying, the 12.99 internet fee for a 24-hour period was nickle-and-diming. I did leave feeling satisfied with the overall experience.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

For really late night eating, go to the Peppermill located right next to the Riviera. Good prices, great food, open 24 hours. Park only in their parking area, otherwise you'll get towed.

College field trip to the Bodies Exhibit

This hotel is about 30 minutes away from the strip if you're walking, which kind of sucks at 3am while slightly buzzed. The front desk lady charged my debit card she had on file from the booking website for the deposit, when I physically handed her my credit card, that was irritating but whatever. The rooms were nice for the price, not anything fantastic, but I was on a budget so it worked. The bathroom window had no screen on it and it opened facing the walkway, so that was stupid of the designer. A group of myself and friends were staying there, but we all hung out mainly in one of the rooms, so maybe the hotel thought we had an over excessive of occupants in that one room so there was a guy who kept peeking in the kitchenette window. The website we booked gave us the option of requesting one extra foldaway bed per room at no extra charge and yet when we got there they said they didn't have any left. The gym was closed for renovation, as were two of the pools. The shuttle only took you to Planet Hollywood and only Fri-Sun, we were there Wed-Sat. We had problems with the room key. Overall this hotel is alright, had it's problems just like every low-budget hotel. If money isn't an issue, stay some where nicer.

Dining tip: In Hotel

They offer a fridge, coffee pot with all the condiments, a microwave, and a little pantry where you can store food. My friends and I brought yogurts, muffins, cup of noodles, waters, etc. SAVED US A FORTUNE, instead of wasting so much money on restaurants.

It is not a new hotel nor was

It is not a new hotel nor was the room I stayed in remodeled but it was not a bad stay at all!!!! Just a few things that I would say you need to be mindful of. There is a security deposit of $25 for each day of your stay that is refunded to you at the end if you do not use it. I was not made aware of this when I booked so I was "pleasantly surprise" and not a in a good way, when I was told I had to pay another fee. Especially when I asked the booking agent of HotelClub in advance of this very thing. There is a fee of $12.99 for each 24 hour period to use the internet. Light bulb was blown in room and they came quickly to fix my . Very close to the strip and all the major hotels....across from the Hard Rock Hotel and next to the Rumor Boutique hotel. I would stay here again. Hope this was helpful!
