Great experience!

Used this hotel as my hotel for after the wedding. Everything was amazing. The location is perfect. The rooms are huge and modern. Our room was the one bedroom and it included a kitchen, living room, dining room, walk in closet, washer dryer and a queen bed. Everything was clean and upon request they right away brough additional blankets, pillows and towels. My only complaints was with such a big room it seemed odd to me it had a queen sized bed. Also being such a luxurious room we did miss the tub (there was just a shower). Also I have heard of many sweet stories of hotels leaving gifts for couples on their honeymoon night. The hotel was well aware of it being my honeymoon and though its not a standard I was kinda let a little down there was no special treatment or care for it being out honeymoon. Aside from those little things everything was great. I would totally recommend this to anyone and would definitely come here again.

Great for a girls trip getaway!

This was our first trip to Atlanta and we wanted to stay somewhere that was close to all the major attractions, and we hit the jackpot with the Georgian Terrace and it's location on Peachtree St. We visited the Westin and had dinner at the Sundial restaurant on the 72nd floor and it was incredible. The Aquarium is a must go when visiting Atlanta as well. Our room at the Georgian Terrace was slightly outdated, but very clean and had a good view. We were a little upset the rooftop pool was closed for service during our visit and we were not told this before hand, but we did head up just to see what it was all about and the view of course was breath taking but the pool itself wasn't all that great. We will definitely be coming back to the hotel, and one of those reasons is the staff. I felt like we made friends before we left. Knowing us by name and giving us great food places to try out and just bein all around friendly all three days we were there. Thanks y'all for making our first trip to Atlanta awesome!

Fancy stay in a great location

Our hotel room looked out on the Fox Theatre making it directly in the middle of everything. The beds were very comfortable and the staff was very accomodating. We stayed in the two bedroom suite and it was HUGE! Two bedrooms with two baths, living and dining room, laundry in unit, full kitchen and sitting room. Very impressive and perfect for us to split on a family vacation.

Perfect family friendly 'stay-cation'

We stayed at the Georgian Terrace last year for our wedding night and decided to return this weekend with our daughter for a mini family stay-cation. We booked a room with 2 queen beds at an affordable rate. Expecting a nice clean small sized room. When we arrived we walked in we were greeted with a big 'welcome back!' And led to our room which to our surprise was a large 2 bedroom suite! Equipped with a kitchen, living room, dining space, 2 bed/1 bath and huge closets and a balcony! All for the rate of a small room at any other hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, the valet drivers were very sweet and made my daughter feel special by holding doors and being polite. We visited both P & P and Livingston restaurants and both with great. The server at Livingston was the same man we had last time we came and he remembered us and treated us like regulars. We already loved this hotel with it's history and location, but now we're hooked! We will be back, and will recommend to anyone looking for a great deal in the city. The Lampes

Not a business hotel (comparison Westin vs Georgian)

I'm a business traveler. On this occasion, I spent 14 nights at the Westin (Peachtree plaza) and then 10 nights at the Georgian Terrace. The rate at the Westin was 20+USD cheaper, and much better value for money, for three reasons: style, gym and location. The room in the Georgian was as noisy as it gets, with construction work going on outside (not to blame them, but expect to face an avenue anyway). At the Westin, I had a 52nd floor, west-facing suite (remember: for less money). Amazing Atlanta Sunsets with city view vs construction and an avenue? No-brainer. The Georgian's rooms, although "classic" and renovated, seem a bit outdated. Little details like the painting on the walls, the cheap-looking, wooden mirror frame, a 30 year-old air-con system, a room full of locked doors (which I believe hosted the air-con system and some other form of storage), the cheapest ironing board in town, no safety box in the room, lifts that take ages to come (one of which smelled horrible after a wedding night)... The gym at the Westin has Life Fitness equipment. The Georgian will take you back in time where people used to lift raw pieces of iron, but great views, especially at sunset. On the positive side, The Georgian is way better on the following: - Bed. Really, really comfy mattress and pillows. Almost better than at home. - Pool. Long, roof-top. The reason I chose it. - Blackouts. Almost black-pitch. Love them. - Hair dryer. Very good quality. - Soap. Non-greasy, exfoliant, earth-friendly - Maid service. Very friendly, professional. The restaurant deserves a paragraph on its own. At the Westin I paid the same for breakfast but got buffet. At the Georgian, a bowl of fruit took, on average, 15min to arrive (hence the advantage of the buffet: because every morning my time for breakfast is limited before meetings, being able to have my fruit on my plate a minute after I arrive is paramount). I got to know three shifts of staff. Two of them very good, one very harsh, almost offensive. I don't blame them, given that I was in a hurry and expected fast service, but if there had been a breakfast restaurant next door, I would've gone there without hesitation. At the Westin, taxis line up 24/7. At The Georgian, bell-boys often have to go on the street and stop one for you. That's important if you have an appointment. Furthermore, the restaurant selection on the Georgian's surroundings is very, very limited. I guess I'm too picky, but I also look at the key system. If there's anything where I was annoyed at the Westin, it was precisely that: I had to have my key card reprogrammed three times during my stay. At the Georgian, I could keep the card next to my mobile and credit card and I'd still work. Unless you enjoy queuing, having to have a key reprogrammed is nothing but a waste of time (especially if you just came out of the gym and don't have an Id with you). Looking up from reception is amazing at The Georgian, and the whole lobby is very stylish, so I find it great as a wedding venue. However, for business travelers, I'd definitely recommend the Westin.

They got the easy things wrong

We stayed at the Georgian Terrace during the NCAA Final Four weekend, so the hotel was packed. The elevator was broken during our entire 3-day/2-night stay. We had to use the service elevator, which was being overused, because both staff and guests were using it. The room keys failed to work 3 different times. While at the desk, two other guests were getting their room keys fixed. Since the elevators weren't available very often, getting a new key meant a 15-20 minute trip to get into your room. The garage key malfunctioned the entire time. The hotel put a gentleman at the garage gate, but all the gentleman could do was push the button to talk to someone at the front desk, who then opened the gate. Good points; Location is good for visiting Atlanta. The room and facility was clean and modern.
