Nice location, average hotel

The hotel is a bit run down and the staff was not welcoming. The amenities in the room were below average and dated.

Great hotel, great location!

We had a great time at the St Gregory. It was in a fab location, we walked everywhere we wanted to get to and enjoyed local food and wanders around Dupont Circle. The little kitchen unit in the room was a great extra, it was clean and the staff were really helpful. Don't be fooled however by the promise of free wifi when booking, it was one of the things that tempted us to book and we were told it wasn't available and had to pay for our wifi throughout our trip - most annoying and $24 we'd rather not have paid. Also.... if you arrive on a Friday / Saturday by car there may not be parking spots in the hotel car park.

Nice venue

Wonderful suite, helpful staff. Only complaint is the hotel restaurant was closed 24-26 Dec for Xmas. Indeed most eating places were closed. A pity as there were thousands of visitors to DC looking for a Xmas meal for dinner. Hotel was a good 50 min walk to Capitol Hill but close to White House and Washington memorial.

it is a great hotel staff friendly,

it is a great hotel staff friendly, restaurant good too, 5 min walk to metro takes you to all the monuments and museums clean and well worth it.

What a good hotel, especially

What a good hotel, especially on special rates. Comfortable, very clean and with excellent, responsive staff in the best US tradition of service. Would recommend highly for Washington CBD accommodation.
