Good stay but disappointed

Not a bad hotel, did the trick for a two night visit to Plymouth, but definitely not 4 star; rooms comparable to an older Travelodge. Car park way too expensive, wasn't even told about the £7.50 charge (per night) until it came to billing. Breakfast satisfactory.

Good value in Cornwall

Convenient location in the centre of Plymouth. Comfortable & clean with helpful staff. Who still charges for wifi these days, not good. Biscuits in room with tea/coffee in room would also be good.

Very tired!

Very tired....us and the hotel. My husband and I stayed in a room on the 4th floor which was next to some kind of engine room! There was a constant noise from that and you could hear the whining of the lift going up and down. The room itself was very tired with several large scuffs and marks, cracks, cobwebs...you get the picture. I also got the feeling that they are used to bad feedback as when we checked out, we weren't even asked if we had enjoyed our stay or if everything was alright. I felt that it was too late to do anything about it in the morning anyway and you're not likely to go wandering down to reception in the middle of the night to get things rectified. I don't think we'll be staying here again in a hurry.

Motorbiking trip

We were visiting Devon on our motorbike and stopped in Plymouth for 1 night. We were able to check in early which was great so we could change out of our bike gear as it was raining. The check in staff were very friendly and welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. The room was a good size and the bed was super comfy, we had a great nights sleep. This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and we will definitely stay again.

No gym.

The publicised fitness room doesn't seem to exist signs are painted out . Rooms clean and tidy but windows draughty and not sound proof which is a bit annoying when path outside is used as skateboard ramp . Just a bit tired and need of upgrade but fine for weekend break.

Catching up with family

Everything about the hotel was great except for the fact that the photo of the hotel leads you to believe it is at the end of a driveway when infact, it is in the middle of the city and not at all easy to access. We ended up in a pedestrian area of the city following Armada Way !! Better access instructions are needed.

Girly Gettogether

First class. Ideal centre of town walking distance to Great resturants (we were at Tanners the night we stayed) and the Barbican. Rooms were clean well furnished and warm. There was no noise from the town or from late night revellers. Just looking for an excuse to book in again!
