Good old fashioned service

This was our first night in the UK. The young porters greeted us on arrival and delivered our bags to our room as we checked in. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable with free Wi-fi. The hotel is within walking distance of the main attractions including the Oxford walking tour. Our only issue with the hotel was that we were told that breakfast was not included in our booking, despite having paperwork indicating that it was. However when we checked out we showed our booking confirmation to another more senior staff member and our breakfast charge was removed. We left our luggage with the porters while went to pick up our hire car, and on our return they loaded our bags into the car for us.

Excellent staff and service but

Excellent staff and service but it is an old hotel in need of refurbishment for the price. Location is just magic for Oxford. However despite to room being somewhat old it was spacious for the UK and well appointed. Will stay there again.
