Oxford business

Good buffet breakfast, reasonable restaurant and room service menus, but apart from the food, the gym was great. PPV movies to relax away the downtime, shopping facilities and even a KFC are next door. Short ride into town, so prepare taxi/bus fare if you're not driving. If your walking, allow 30 minutes.

Sightseeing tip: Not Applicable

If you visit Oxford for the first time (in good weather!) take the open top bus tour. Yes, it's cheesy, but a great intro prior to digging deeper and finding "Logic Lane".

A good Holiday Inn.

Overall very pleased. You generally know what you are getting with Holiday Inn and this one delivers on the essentials of cleanliness, quality and facilities - all very good. The downside of Holiday Inn, which to be fair is not exclusive to them, is the excessive charge for using the internet wifi and the expensive cost of dinner. Surely WiFi is not a premium service anymore and guests could be given a free 'allowance'? The hotel itself is just outside Oxford city centre, there is a frequent 'park and pay' bus service which can be used for cheap rides in to Oxford itself which is not motor friendly. The hotel, in a motorway service ares, is not geared for walking with few pavements to the park and ride and the service area shops. Regardless this is an excellent choice if you want to stay in good quality accommodation for visiting Oxford.
