Bad place

It's a bad service and bad hotel! there's nothing inside the room! Never deserve the amount of the room! The room smell something old! much disturb. there's no refrigerator and no enough towels! Small bad and small cover and the window wouldn't open! The bad wasn't enought for me and my girlfriend or the cover! It's really bad hotel...

Great location, but hotel lacking

Right in the middle of town, the location of the hotel couldn't be better. The staff were friendly too, but the hotel itself is old and in need of a major upgrade. Although the wardrobe door was off its hinges, there was loads of dust on top of the light fitting in the bathroom, the TV remote control didn't work and the carpet was completely worn away around the edges, the thing that stands out most is how noisy the air conditioning unit was throughout the entire night, with no ability to switch it off (except perhaps via the main fuse box). Plus I got the impression that entry to the fitness centre was included in the price, however there is an additional charge of £4 per person for these facilities.

stay over for meting next morning

Sacha hotel excellently placed-but there was difficulty in getting directions from day staff asto getting there going to Gmex etc. However I found it easy as I walked to it from Piccadilly and maps helped me around.tram and access bus- The room was OK but as elderly they did not give a room closer to lift ?lacking flexibility-but they helped me with my bag to secure place etc Night time -there were defective light appliances but the staff did utmost as Housekeeping should /ve checked working of lamps etc TV did work but starting it was delayed-one channel only too- Lot of steps and lift is right inside after manoeuvring entrance steps which were rather deep and with bag was difficult but assistance was given by a guest!

the hotel is abit dated and smelled abit stuffy,on the plus side it is based right in the city center so its an ideal location for every where & only 10 minuets walk from the train station.

Value for money and will return

A little bit dated, arrived hotel on the10th april, stayed on the 3rd floor. central location, next to Debenhams. Shopping Mall 3mins, Tram & Busses right outside HOTEL. No iron in my room, told to goto 6th floor Ironning Room at 8pm day of my arrival; while in the Ironningroom a member of staff somewhere on the 6th floor heard my disgusted comment about the condition of the Iron and the Board, asked what the problem was, told me to go back to my room, brought me a BRAND NEW IRON AND BOARD. 'He said the team are here to satisfy customers and make them happy so they can return.' That was a very positive attitude from a young man; good turning point for me and will surely come back as I forgot to ask his name of the guy who refused tips.

True reflection if the hotel.

This hotel is truly the worse hotel I've ever stayed in. Yeah the location is fantastic, right in the heart of the city centre but the rooms they have there resembles a prison cell. I felt like I had committed a serious act of crime and was sentenced on death row! There were no windows, the decoration was outdated and bland and the room was tiny. I was truly astonished by how terrible the room was particularly because I paid almost £200 for two nights. Not only that but the overall cleanliness of the hotel is poor. When walking downstairs I held onto the railing and at the bottom my hand was filthy black (no exxageration). The staff don't want to know when you complain so don't bother. You are better of paying £150 for the hilton hotel for one night and spending the other night on the street rather than staying in this hotel for this price. Hope I've been of help to someone. Don't make the same mistake I did.

not the greatest.

Arrived at the hotel and our room had no window, ok but wasnt exactly the best start. headed straight out into manchester, got back around 9pm, realised our shower didnt work. Went down to reception to try and change rooms and they told me there was none available till the morning. I requested a different room to shower in as we had travelles all day to the hotel. They couldnt give us another room to shower however they then had a spare room to put us in for our stay. Got to second room that was ment to be a double, it was two singles pushed together. And our air con was broken, no window, no fan and no air con. Was a very uncomfortable nights sleep for my husband and I. Over all great location, wished i would of taken more reviews into consideration before booking. Lastly it says parking available at the hotel (which cost £16 for 24 hours. Spending £32 on parking wasnt a plan of ours. Please read reviews before booking this place. Cheap but not very cheerful.

Fixtures and fittings without wires.

Great location. Mirror was dirty and/or smashed, covered in fingerprints, hair in the bed and bathroom, 1 pillow and cushion each in a double room (wardrobe checked). TV had a lot of noise and lines running across it. A random miniature fridge/freezer had no cable, no plug and seemingly was there for decoration. No tea or coffee facilities as stated on confirmation. The freestanding light fixture was not working, plugged it in and the slider just didn't respond or work. Quiet room, quite private except felt like a dolls house with 9 foot curtain fittings. We were then alerted to leave the room early by housekeeping about 5/10 minutes before checkout time. Slept well, easy to get too and staff friendly, but rooms just didn't meet expectations but for the price we paid, it wasn't terrible, but not worth the £75 on the door.

Staff lets their hotel down

I stayed in this hotel for two nights with my patner in a doable executive room. As soon as we arrived, we realised that our sink had been broken and reported it to the reception. However, it had never been repaired. They also had problems with wifi, so we didnt have any internet, as they suggested there were problems with wifi in the whole area.... :/ All these problems would have been minor and gone unnoticed, If members of staff had handled them better. They behaved unprofessionally and rude at times, demonstrating very low level of communication and management skills. This relates to managers, staff at the reception and cleaners. I feel that the staff ruined our expreince, as the hotel itself was quite clean and decent, and situated in the best location you can ask for, right on the main shopping street in Manchester, Market street. They also had quite decent bar and restaurant.
