Sackville Street hotels
Sackville Street, a single thoroughfare in Manchester’s city centre, runs through several parts of the metropolis and includes plenty of attractions and entertainment for holidaymakers to enjoy. The street begins at Portland Street and ends at the Rochdale Canal on the southern end of Manchester, England. Thanks to Sackville Street’s prime location, visitors may use the street to find their way to several other popular avenues, including nearby Granby Row and Canal Street. One of the area’s famous sites is the University of Manchester, where the Godlee Observatory is still in use.
- Visit the Museum of Science & Industry, located in the Sackville Street area of Manchester, where you can view the Air & Space Gallery and Power Hall.
- Tour the historic Manchester Cathedral that dates back to the early 13th century, yet features a more modern look with its renovated, impressive exterior.
- Spend an afternoon picnicking in Piccadilly Gardens, a large outdoor park situated near Sackville Street in Manchester’s city centre that features multiple statues and monuments.
Travelling to the greater Manchester area is simple for international visitors thanks to the Manchester Airport. The airport services international and domestic flights. From the terminal, guests may take one of the direct trains to Manchester’s city centre, or they may opt for a private taxicab to transport them to their hotels. There are several bus routes to Sackville Street from other nearby city stations, including numbers 14 and 16 from Piccadilly and numbers 47 and 87 from Cross Street. The Metrolink tram system also provides transport to Sackville Street.
