M.E.N. Arena hotels
The M.E.N. Arena in Manchester is the largest indoor arena in all of Europe, with a seating capacity of 21,000. Over the years, the arena has played host to shows and performances by some of the most famous musicians and celebrities in the world, including concerts by U2 and Madonna and a 2000 boxing match that featured Mike Tyson. Since the M.E.N. Arena, or the Manchester Evening News Arena, was founded in 1995, plenty of restaurants and nightclubs have popped up in the surrounding area, giving concertgoers and sports fans plenty of options for food and drink after a performance.
- Attend a boxing match at the M.E.N. Arena, which regularly hosts big-ticket boxing events each year.
- Buy a ticket for one of the rock or pop concerts hosted at the M.E.N. Arena, the largest arena in the region.
- Visit the Printworks entertainment complex located a few minutes away from the Manchester arena and have a meal at one of the facility’s many restaurants or bars after a show.
Manchester has its own international airport, which makes it relatively simple for visitors from other countries to get to the M.E.N. Arena. From the airport, tourists can take rail service to Manchester Piccadilly Station and then connect to local transportation. Taxi-cabs and rental cars are also available for hire at the airport. Within the area around the M.E.N. Arena, there are several public transportation options. The Nightbus service offers weekend evening transportation to the district, while the Metrolink trams run directly by the arena. Several of the area’s attractions and nightlife can be reached on foot.
