The Holiday Inn Maidenhead Windsor Hotel combines an excellent range of facilities for both business and leisure travellers.
The Berkshire Suites are ideally suited for weddings as they can hold up to 350 people banquet style and are licensed for civil ceremonies. Spirit Health and Leisure Club consists of large swimming pool, children's pool, whirlpool spa, saunas, steam rooms, outdoor sun deck, sun bed and multi gymnasium.

On arrival there was plenty of car parking outside. On the reception desk was a trainee member of staff who was very pleasant and doing her best, although clearly a trainee. Not sure how to book us in, she went to seek help from her colleague who
was training her who returned with her. The trainer did not greet us when she returned with the trainee and made us feel very uncomfortable when she was extremley abrupt and rude to the young lady she was training, we found this to be very unprofessional. She then finally acknowledged us to ask us a question but still with a sharpe tone and did not offer an apology for the delay to our check in. We were also given incorrect information when asking the closing time of the leisure facilities which meant we did miss out in using them as we arrived to use them when they were about to close and there was no information in our room to double check the information we were given by the trainee on reception although after seeing the way she was treated by her colleague we can see why she was reluctant to go and ask again for help.
The room was small but nice and reasonably clean...a few unwelcome hairs on the bed which is always off putting. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable so be prepared to have a backache in the morning. The shower was nice, tea & coffee making facilities were generous, a good size safe with plenty of room for a 13in laptop and digital camera. Hairdryer in draw not fantastic, ladies with long hair would need a straightener to finish off if you want to avoid the cousin it look. The heating/air conditioning system had a major failing, being a pretty cold December morning we turned the heat up to have a shower, the heat came through although so did the smell of cigarette smoke! Being an asthma sufferer this was unbearable, I then had to open the window to clear the air making it cold again. Classic reception staff were not interested in this information on check out. I think Holiday Inn as a huge brand name really need to train their staff not only in customer service but general people skills.
We cannot comment on the leisure facilities as we were miss informed about the time.
The breakfast was nice, plenty of choice with cereals, fruit, toast, hot buffet of the usual English breakfast offerings. Only one hot drink is offered which is a little mean. I drink fruit teas and had very little to choose from, I like to start my day with a lemon & ginger but had to settle for a peppermint as the only other option was green tea.
To conclude, the hotel was a perfect location for our needs as I was working close by and as a stop gap served its purpose but would not want to stay multiple nights unless the negative points I have address above are addressed.
