Great London location

Located next to Hyde Park the hotel is well situated for exploring London. We were impressed with the friendly staff, the good value breakfast and the size of our room. The room was quiet and had a comfy bed. One negative was the dodgy plumbing which resulted in waits of up to 10 minutes for hot water. We would return to this hotel on future visits.

Nice stay, but beds could be softer

Thistle Hyde Park is nicely located, just 3-4 mins walk form Lancaster Gate tube station on the Central Line. Our room must have been one of the smaller, since all the pictures just larger rooms. Still, nicely decorated, and clean - which is the most important point. Very friendly and service oriented staff. Breakfast was not included and cost 12GBP per head, whereas numerous places in the neighborhood serve full english breakfast at around 8GBP. Could be smart to do a special offer for hotel guests perhaps? Still - a nice hotel with good value for money, and we will consider coming back.

Loved staying here!

Our first trip to London and we absolutely chose the best place to stay. We loved being right opposite Hyde Park and within walking distance of so many places we wanted to visit. The underground stations were close, with a choice of two in either direction of the hotel. Staff were helpful. Room decor beautifully Victorian with lovely ambience. Linen fresh and clean. Wonderful memories of our 5day stay. Excellent value too!

Nice hotel and lovely rooms but quite a distance to stuff

We loved our room but had to walk a long way to get anywhere touristy.

Super staff

Had a wonderful stay with a very friendly and accommodating staff. Beautiful, large room with lots of fluffy towels. Windows, however, are old and leaking, so the room tends to get very cold and there is a lot of draft and trafic noice. Thick curtains did help a bit. Nevertheless, I would definately stay here again.
