Great weekend stay

Perfect location for Tower Bridge . Reception and restaurant staff were the best I've dealt with in any hotel for a long time! Nothing was too much trouble for them. The car park is a little on the small side for such a large hotel that also permits non hotel residents access to it, but you get a space in the end if you're patient. The room was on the small side, but clean & tidy & the mattress was extremely comfortable so we were very pleased with the overall experience.

The check in time of 2pm has queues back to the doors - avoid this chaos by checking in an hour or two later when it's died down. .

Weekend overnighter

As three couples we originally looked for a hotel near Hyde Park as we were attending the Proms in the Park event. Unfortunately they were either unavailable, poor reviews or too pricey. We opted to go further afield and chose the Tower. It turned out to be a good choice. The hotel doesn't look great from outside as it suffers from the late 60's early 70's era of bad design and materials but the inside is great. Staff were efficient and friendly especially during busy checking in/out period. This applied to both reception and concierge. Rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet (we looked out over the dock. We only stayed for one night so didn't experience many amenities except the bar in the evening which was too hot (almost sauna) for comfort. The only other tiny drawback was the walk with luggage from the Underground station as we had chosen to use public transport. Would definitely recommend.

Dining tip: Not Applicable

As a mature beer drinker and member of the Campaign For Real Ale I'd like to think I know a little about beer. It annoys me that some pubs/bars take advantage of fobbing off poor produce, especially to foreign visitors with comments like "it always tastes like that, it's the end of the barrel, etc. If it doesn't taste right, send it back! Any reputable licensee will be proud of their beer and will have no hesitation in changing it for something else.

Last minute booking

Booked last minute for me and my boyfriend to meet up in London. Outside looks like you've gone back to 1960's, but lovely inside. From getting there, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Dinner looked good, but we didn't actually go in. Room was a little small, but was nice and clean. Overall good experience.
