Full on disable toilet and walk in shower...that we didnt ask.

The hotel is amazing and the location could not be better. We paid a lot of money for this room (for us!) so when we got there and checked in we did not expect to be asked by a rather cold male receptionist if "we wanted to upgrade to a room with a bath because our room only had a walk in shower", We didn't know our room was only going to have a shower but we didn't want to pay any more, so we were disappointed but we said, no. When we got to our room, what we didn't expect was to find a full on disable walk in shower and disable toilet. With all our respect to disable people....we are not, and somehow it felt very weird, but because we were so tired and the rest of the room was fine, we didn't complain. We only stayed for one night, but certainly if we were going to stay longer we would have refused to stay there. I cant stop thinking the fact that we didn't have a bath and we ended up with a disable shower and toilet (very unpleasant, without a lid and a very low sink) spoiled our night there. We have actually saved for many months to be able to afford this trip from Plymouth and stay in a nice hotel... I don't think I will be back to this hotel.

we had a super touch of luxury for the night to add to an excellent concert at the o2 arena, and so simple to get around on the DLR right next door.

What a service

I had lost my reading glasses and told the staff that I thought there were in the room. After checking out, that same afternoon, I received a phone call from the hotel telling me that they had checked the room but that they were sorry that the cleaning staff hadn't found the reading glasses. That was very thoughtful. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

Excellent mini break

We chose to stay at this Marriot as it was pretty close to Westfield shopping centre and the olympic park - we picked up the buzz the day after closing ceremony... It has superb transport links, DLR on doorstep, canary wharf tube and clipper boat 5 mins stroll away. Fantastic bars and restaurants next door with 15 mins travel if you want to head west. Staff were friendly and welcoming and room was what you would expect from Marriot. We thouroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay.

Stylish hotel with good facilities.

Stylish hotel with good facilities. Location makes it easy to access all areas of London via the public transport links. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were large and comfortable. Pleasant bar, did not use the restaurant as I had other plans. If it suits you budget you won't be disappointed.
