Good Location for Access to West End

Generally OK but it was right opposite a pub and the noise on Saturday night was quite disturbing. Also, we were not pleased to be sent a mini-bar bill we had left for items we had not used. It was refunded but not the overseas exchange rate banking costs to us.

Family Holiday

Kingsway Hall is in a great location, next to Covent Garden, very convenient to most areas, however room was much smaller than advertised. Wifi was 15 British Pounds per 24 hours, so not really worth it, given that Starbucks and pub across the road had free Wifi. Minimum Service fee was 3 pounds for example on some ice being delivered to the room, and room was pretty ordinary, given the room rate.

Perfect for Theatre-land and West End

We stayed at the Kingsway Hall for the first time in Dec-13 for a couple of tourist days, including an evening at the theatre, and have just returned for another visit. The location is perfect, within very comfortable walking distance of theatres, Covent Garden, and west end shopping, and also not far to St Paul's, Tate Modern etc..to the east. The large marble foyer has the feel of a 5* hotel and reception and bar staff have always been very welcoming and friendly. Our rooms/bathrooms were spotless. A 'must-have' in my opinion, is a really comfortable bed, and it was exactly that. We didn't use the restaurant, given the wide range of places to eat close by, but it looked very nice, albeit on the quiet side. (For breakfast we took advantage of 2-for-1 voucher offer at Cafe Rouge just around the corner on Kingsway). My only suggestion would be the provision of complimentary Wifi, rather than at extra cost. These days so many hotels do provide it free, it's becoming an expected facility. It will certainly be our hotel of choice for future visits.

A great weekend at the Kingsway

Professional check-in, fast lift to the 7th floor. Our room and bathroom were spotless and included everything that we needed. Wi-Fi was great, use the two day free option! The beds were very comfy, the room cooling worked well too. Overall well worth the money for a city centre hotel.

Business Trip by car

Very nice hotel well situated but car parking was very expensive over night, enought to make one select a different hotel if going by car.

Perfect location, great service, terrible beds.

Perfect service. Nice location. Best breakfast. Unfortunately the beds are awful. I am 187cm long, but the beds are only 180. The beds are also really hard. Disnt sleep very well. To bad, since everything else was perfect.

Decent

All good except gotta pay for internet. Go outside and use Starbucks WIFI aross the laneway. No handyman to replace battery for our electrical door lock. Had to call front desk every time we wanted access to our room for 14 hours. 14 hours to replace one battery. Location was good. Few minutes walk to tube and Covent Gardens.

theatre weekend

Good location for theatres and underground etc. Hotel rooms are comfortable but could do with some additional cleaning. We were incorrectly over charged for drinks from the mini bar and from the hotel bar. (watch out for "optional" service charges) The house keeping was below standard and did not come to the room until 16.20 by which time we were preparing to go out therefore our room was not serviced. As this was not a cheap hotel I expected better service and could do without the hassle of correcting bar bills.

Weekend getaway

Great location, friendly helpful staff, comfortable room. Look out for over zealous staff mistakenly charging for mini bar items not used - easily resolved though. Hotel breakfast is over priced and not good enough to justify cost, so take a short walk to get a super value and good quality breakfast locally.
