Great Time - London Break

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Ideal location for Central London with buses and underground very nearby. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommend. I have only rated the WiFi as not good was because you had to pay extra for this and I did think that was a bit mean, otherwise all good.

London trip

It was okay. Room wasn't living up to my expectations. The gym was tiny and poor with machines. But the service was good.

Staff in reception was not service minded at all. Bad breakfast and not very nice rooms. This is not a four star hotel in my opinion!

Chelsea Flower Show trip

We were a party of nine ladies going to Chelsea Flower Show and booked three triple rooms. However the hotel does not have triple rooms which is not clear when booking online. We were offered double rooms with an 'extra' bed so be aware they simply take out the two chairs and cram the table into a space next to the drawers to make space for the temporary bed. This means you have no room to walk around, nowhere to put anything and access to the mirror is achieved by leaning across the extra bed so watch out for strained backs and necks! We had a temperamental bathroom light switch which meant showers had to be taken in the dark. The staff were very friendly and as helpful as they are allowed to be.

Weekend break

Booked a room for 3 people and arrived to find a pull out bed in a double room. Complained but was informed they only ha double rooms!!! So no family room?? Doubt that! Anyway was getting nowhere with them and was told no manager was around and that I had asked for this extra bed which I had not.. had booked a 3 person room which was stated as having a double and twin(single) bed not a pull out bed fit for a child not my 6 foot relative!! Location was OK which was the only up as breakfast is £17pp and there is a nice cafe around the corner that do it for £10pp and other cheaper options. Was very disappointed with the room as we could not open the fridge and had to stand on the pull out bed to close the curtains thats how small the room was.. for the price i wouldnt bother again as there are loads of hotels right beside it. I have stayed in Copthorne hotels before and assumed I could trust the brand.. dont be fooled!!

London's accommodation gem

Arrived at hotel motivated by positive reviews. yhe hotel did not disappoint. Took the upgrade to a club room on the advice of Sonia. It was well worth it. A bigger room, a great vista over London, the club lounge and the happy hour all made the upgrade worthwhile. the location was great. Close to buses and tube. staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast in club lounge really nice. previously stayed around Bloomsbury, the change of area for us was a well worth it.

It's all on the surface...

When you enter the hotel you think you arrived in a very good place - doorman, huge reception etc. The rooms however are very poor - low standard. Although we booked a "superior" room... Towels old, hard and thin, toilet paper cheaper than in any public toilet, bathroom very dated, minibar empty, furniture from the 80s... It reminds on a cheap motel at an American highway.

Great hotel

As usual, I was completely satisfied with my stay at the hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful (especially Marius, the concierge) and the room comfortable and clean. The location is also a big plus. The only criticism I would make is that there is no rebate for a single person. The room I stayed in had single beds so only one was used, obviously, and I only used one set of towels. Does this not warrant a discount of some kind?

Great Location

Very large hotel that caters for it's guests with ease. Good breakfast, friendly staff, wi fi in rooms & great location. Needed to delay our departure by 3 hours & we were accommodated at no extra cost. Thank you! Rooms need to be modernised, however we were backing onto the train line & heard nothing. Air con needs updating but rooms were clean.
