London's accommodation gem

Arrived at hotel motivated by positive reviews. yhe hotel did not disappoint. Took the upgrade to a club room on the advice of Sonia. It was well worth it. A bigger room, a great vista over London, the club lounge and the happy hour all made the upgrade worthwhile. the location was great. Close to buses and tube. staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast in club lounge really nice. previously stayed around Bloomsbury, the change of area for us was a well worth it.

It's all on the surface...

When you enter the hotel you think you arrived in a very good place - doorman, huge reception etc. The rooms however are very poor - low standard. Although we booked a "superior" room... Towels old, hard and thin, toilet paper cheaper than in any public toilet, bathroom very dated, minibar empty, furniture from the 80s... It reminds on a cheap motel at an American highway.

Great hotel

As usual, I was completely satisfied with my stay at the hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful (especially Marius, the concierge) and the room comfortable and clean. The location is also a big plus. The only criticism I would make is that there is no rebate for a single person. The room I stayed in had single beds so only one was used, obviously, and I only used one set of towels. Does this not warrant a discount of some kind?

Great Location

Very large hotel that caters for it's guests with ease. Good breakfast, friendly staff, wi fi in rooms & great location. Needed to delay our departure by 3 hours & we were accommodated at no extra cost. Thank you! Rooms need to be modernised, however we were backing onto the train line & heard nothing. Air con needs updating but rooms were clean.

Short stay

We stayed just two nights and paid to upgrade our room. There is a wifi charge of £10 per day this was included in the upgrade. Hotel staff were helpful and the elderly gentleman/waiter was very helpful when we went into the complimentary lounge. Room was very clean and had enough storage space for two nights. The room wasn't massive but as we were out most of the time, it was fine. We didn't eat in the hotel so I cannot comment on quality of food. The only negative was that the hot towel rail in the bathroom didn't work. We needed to be based in Kensington so this hotel was idea and close to Kensignton High St, tube station.

London Visit

A very disappointing stay at this hotel. Stepping out of the lift on our floor, was a powerful stench that remained during our stay. The staff later informed us it was due to maintenance work. We had little help from the hotel staff, including not having access to a working phone.

Great first trip to London

Hotel was 5 mins walk from the tube and some good shopping on Kensington High Street, had a great time and a great stay here. We were given a twin room on arriving which wasn't what we booked, they changed the room really quickly and all the staff we spoke to were extremely helpful and friendly

Perfect destination!

Have visited London many times, but this was the first time that we stayed in the High Street Kensington area and I cannot fault it. Very central and the Copthorne Tara Hotel was only 5 minutes from the underground and the High Street shopping. There is easy access to the Museums and many other sights in the area. The room was large, especiallly by London standards, with plenty of storage space, coffee /tea making facilities and a small fridge and free wi-fy. The staff were very helpful and our mini van transfer to the airport was very convenient and at a very reasonable price
