The Stamford Bridge is not an actual bridge, but is one of the most oldest and famous stadiums in London. . The stadium was designed by Archibald Leitch, and has a current seating capacity of more than 40,000 spectators. Stamford Bridge boasts a long, rich history that started on April 28, 1877, which was the day it officially opened its doors to the public. For more than two decades, it became mostly a venue for athletic activities run by the London Athletic Club. In 1905, The Chelsea Football Club was established and used the stadium as its base.

Stamford Bridge is located in the Hammersmith and Fulham Borough, and is served by the London underground train locally known as “the tube”. The closest tube station to the stadium is the Fulham Broadway, which is part of the District Line. As an alternative, visitors can also use the London Overground Rail, and the closest stations for this transport network to the stadium, are the Imperial Wharf and West Brompton. From both stations, you only need to walk 15 minutes to reach Stamford Bridge. There are also several bus routes that pass in the city centre and the stadium's vicinity.
