Paddington Station hotels
Paddington Station London
London’s famous Paddington Station is one of the most storied transportation hubs in all of England. Originally founded in the mid-19th century, Paddington Station remains one of the busiest high-speed rail and underground tube stations. For a taste of history, guests can stop at the Great Western Railway War Memorial, a monument dedicated to the Great Western Railway workers who died in World War I. Children might enjoy seeing the statue of fictional character Paddington Bear, which is located in the station’s expansive concourse, or buying a Paddington toy at one of the station’s shops.
- Get a look at the statue of Isambard Kingdom Brunel, pioneer of English rail building, which is located inside the centre of Paddington Station.
- Have a bite to eat at one of Paddington Station’s cafes or restaurants to and from your many destinations in London..
- Take a picture of the famous Paddington Station Clock, a massive wall timepiece located inside the station, and don’t be late.
Since Paddington Station is one of London’s largest train terminals, it’s easiest for visitors to reach it by rail. Several bus routes also terminate and leave from this station, making it simple for guests to arrive and depart. Visitors who are flying into London can arrive via air at either Heathrow International Airport or Gatwick International Airport and then take the underground tube system or one of the express bus shuttles to Paddington Station, if they desire. Since several hotels are located near the station, some tourists may be able to reach the station on foot.
