Heathrow Airport is 28 kilometres from Oxford Circus via the A4 and M4 motorways, but visitors who don't have a car can get to the Westminster area of London using several airport transportation options including taxis and limousines and the airport express bus. The London Underground, or “tube” runs to the Oxford station right under Oxford Circus via the Picadilly and Victoria Lines. Alternatively, the 140 and 23 buses also run this route. The circus is a pedestrian crossing, so most visitors tour the area on foot or by bicycle after arriving via public transit.
