London Zoo hotels
The oldest zoological institution in the world, the London Zoo still features attractions and exhibits to entertain modern visitors. At this London wildlife institution, visitors can see some of the wildest and most unique animals on earth and learn about how they grow and interact with one another. The London Zoo, which is home to more than 700 different animal species, houses all of its creatures in specially-created habitats that reflect their natural environments, including "Penguin Beach," "Butterfly Paradise," and "Gorilla Kingdom." These nature-centred exhibits allow tourists to see animals as they would behave in their natural environment.
- Walk through "Rainforest Life," the London Zoo's rainforest exhibit, to get a look at wild animals such as bats, monkeys, and sloths without leaving London.
- Take the kids to "Animal Adventure," the children's zoo at this London attraction, where they can explore animal habitats in the "Tree Top Zone" or pet animals in the "Touch Zone."
- Tour the aquarium at the London Zoo, home to the biggest living coral collection in the country, to see exotic underwater animals such as seahorses, stingrays, and pink sea fans.
Most air travellers who fly into London will land at either Heathrow Airport or Gatwick Airport. Whilst Heathrow is the larger of the two facilities, both airports are well connected to the city by bus and rail lines that travel to the city centre. Getting to the London Zoo is also a simple task for visitors, thanks to the city's large public transportation system. Visitors who take the London Underground can exit at Baker Street Station, Camden Town, or Regents Park and then walk to the zoo. Bus routes C2 and 274 also travel directly to the London Zoo.
