London Aquarium hotels
London, England is the home to one of Europe’s premier aquariums and the largest in all of England: The Sea Life London Aquarium, which opened in 2009. This beautiful landmark is filled with sixty-five different exhibits that reside within pristine, glass walls that immerse the visitor in an underwater world. The London Aquarium is located on the ground floor of County Hall, which is on the South Bank of the River Thames near the London Eye. The aquarium is perfect for families to spend a rainy day where they can stroll about and admire the beautiful creatures that reside there.
- An absolute must see in this London attraction is the Gentoo penguin exhibit called “Penguins: Ice Adventure,” which is a recent addition to the London Aquarium’s family.
- Go visit London’s “Shark Reef Encounter” in the glass hallway, and be thrilled by the close confines you will share with sixteen massive and majestic sharks.
- Make sure you get to at least one of the many feedings that are occur daily; you can see manta-rays, the sharks, the catfish, and so many more creatures “sit” down for their afternoon meal.
The London Aquarium is a big attraction in the city and there is no problem in getting to it. The easiest way to arrive is getting there by bus. Most of the buses that stop near Waterloo Road and Westminster Bridge Road all stop at the London Aquarium. If you want to drive, the nearest parking garage is along the South Bank at the Royal Festival Hall, which is only a short walk away from the aquarium. If you decide to walk, head towards the centre of London and keep an eye out for signs to the aquarium.
