Liverpool Street Station hotels
Liverpool Street Station
London's historic Liverpool Street Station has been shuffling passengers throughout the city for well over a century, and it was one of the railways featured in the very first U.K. version of the classic board game, Monopoly. Located in the city core, Liverpool Station is an excellent debarking and embarking point for those who want to tour some of the oldest landmarks in the city and look at various structures like the dragon statues that mark the original city boundaries. The London Museum is located in this neighbourhood, along with many galleries, old churches, graveyards, and parks.
- Visit the Great Eastern Railway War Memorial at Liverpool Street Station, which was erected in 1922 to honour the GER rail workers who had died in service during World War I.
- Admire noteworthy historical skyscrapers in Bishopsgate in London, such as Heron Tower (currently the tallest in the city), Broadgate Tower, 99 Bishopsgate, and Tower 42.
- Photograph remnants of the 13th century London Wall fortification, specifically at Tower Hill, Coopers Row, and the Barbican Estate.
Liverpool Street Station is 31 kilometres from London Heathrow Airport via the M4 and A4 motorways. Since Liverpool Station connects to the London Underground via the Metropolitan, Central, Circle, and Hammersmith & City tube lines, it would only make sense to use the Central Line that connects to Piccadilly for airport transportation. However, one can also use alternate options available such as the 26 and 285 Metro buses, shuttles, and airport taxis or limousines. Liverpool Street Station also serves the smaller Stansted Airport and several other locations in the East of England region.
