Jewish Museum hotels
The Jewish Museum London is a repository dedicated to Jewish history, culture, religion and art. It was established in 1932 in Bloomsbury, and is presently located at 129-131 Albert Street, in the Camden Town of London. The museum has undergone a number of expansions and redevelopment, and features fine aspects of Jewish history from the early days of Jewish settlements during Norman times, through the 17th century, and beyond World War II. The Jewish Museum London depicts a compelling story of Jewish heritage set in a modern architectural atmosphere. The museum also has a branch in Sternberg Centre in Finchley.
- Brace yourself for a visit to the Holocaust Gallery, Jewish Museum’s harrowing but mind opening exploration of Jewish experiences during the Nazi era, told through the eyes of London-born Auschwitz survivor Leon Greenman.
- Laugh and be entertained by actor/comedian David Schneider’s presentation of the Yiddish theatre karaoke, one of Jewish Museum London’s most enjoyable exhibits.
- Take yourself down memory lane and witness London East End Street’s re-creation, complete with animated characters talking about Jewish lives at home and at work.
The fastest and most convenient public transportation to the Jewish Museum is the London Underground or colloquially known as the Tube. The nearest tube station to the museum is the Camden Town Station. From this station, you only need to travel on foot for around 3 minutes to reach the museum entrance. Another nearby station is the Mornington Crescent Station that serves the northern line. From this station, the walk to Jewish Museums takes about 6 minutes. If the underground train is not available, you can opt to take a bus service that runs regularly to the museum area.
