We stayed at this hotel as we were going to the Snowdome and wanted a nice hotel to make a special weekend away. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and well maintained. Our room was a contemporary executive room and was
lovely. Clean and modern with lovely king size beds. View was disappointing as we looked out over a Perspex roof which blocked all the view. We were right over the function room and there were two weddings although the music wasn't too loud. The food in the restaurant was very good and there was a set menu reasonably priced with a good kids menu. The bar had live entertainment too which we enjoyed.
The negatives were that the room was very cold at night and we couldn't turn off the AC and the fan was noisy. It was late so didn't report to housekeeping just got under duvet to keep warm. Bed was comfortable but husbands back ached in morning as he said it was too soft - that's just personal choice. I wanted a hot shower but the shower head was broken and dribbled out!! Again I didn't report to housekeeping as wanted to shoot off to breakfast and didn't want to miss that! Breakfast was buffet and plenty of choice. No quibble when I asked for brown bread for the toaster. Yea and coffee were brought to the table but the tea tasted like earl grey. The pool was clean and we enjoyed using the steam room and jacuzzi. There was a bad sewer smell by the bar and restaurant but this was from outside and as the windows and doors were open the smell came in like soiled nappies!! Must be a farm or sewerage works nearby and wind in wrong direction. On checking out I mentioned the shower and AC problems but the receptionist didn't seem to bothered - she just asked if I reported it and didn't even write it down. If I was staying longer I would have told housekeeping. Hope room 160 has had a new shower head!!

On a wet weekend the flat roofs leaked badly - especially into the corridor leading to the Spa/Pool area. The Pool was a good size and the layout make for a relaxing visit. HOWEVER, when departing, I was charged for the room - despite letting the
staff know that I'd booked via Accomline.com. I was told that Accomline was just a reservation. Before departing, I checked my credit card transactions online and could prove that I'd paid. I reluctantly received a refund for the room cost. It happened to my daughter too (who also booked via Accomline.com).
