ok

My friend & I do hotel stays quite a bit in Scotland. However I can only describe my stay as ok. I could have complained about several things but I didn't. Regarding a review, my concerns were: ran out of toilet rolls, had 2 insects in the bathroom ( had 2 get my friend 2 remove them), the waitress in the dining area 4got my coffee & once i got it, it was cold, then didn't think 2 ask how I liked my eggs of choice. To top it all off, the fire alarm went off bout 5 times (had to stand out side in my nightgown the 1st time).

This hotel is about a mile from

This hotel is about a mile from the commuter rail station. One day we took the train into Glasgow for the day, and another day we took the train all the way out to Ayr. Nice location for getting around without using a car much, but I would recommend driving to the rail station.

Hotel very "tired" and in need

Hotel very "tired" and in need of re-furbishment, resturant menu limited and same every night apart from one special, the meals we did have though were excellent. LOTS of stairs to negotiate so you'll need to be pretty fit to stay here due to layout of extensions made over the years to expand facilities. Imformation in rooms with regard to facilities etc poor. TV untuned and only terrestrial channnels. Overall quite disappointed for the grading and price charged
