Just off the Ayrshire coast in the southwest of Scotland, you’ll find a picturesque island destination where hotels in Isle of Arran provide wonderful home away from home comfort. The Isle of Arran is dotted with picturesque villages containing character and charm, and everywhere you go, there are spectacular views of seascapes, mountains, nearby islands and the mainland.

Head east to see the Machrie Moor Stone Circles where huge stones still stand in circles and other man made patterns from thousands of years ago. Or, go north to the mountains and hike the trails to the highest peak of Goat Fell, or take a pony trek in North Sannox. Set out for the west and take a boat tour to Holy Island, where a Buddhist monastery overlooks reserves of rare wild ponies, goats, sheep and endangered native trees.

Accommodation in Isle of Arran is excellent, with several hotels and resorts, many bed and breakfast lodgings, the occasional hostel, and several farm stays, guesthouses, self-catering cottages, and holiday home rentals. Get free HotelClub membership and use our Club Benefits to get up to 7% back on your bookings, along with member extras that include free upgrades, breakfast, Wi-Fi and more. Head out from your Isle of Arran hotels and sample the cafes and restaurants, or visit the brewery and whisky distillery on the island.

The only way in here is by boat. Visitors arriving at the Glasgow Airport will find regular ferry services from the mainland to Brodick in the east of Isle of Arran, or Lochranza in the north. You can hire a car on the island to navigate to and from your Isle of Arran accommodation or you have the option to bring yours over on the ferry.
