Great value by Heathrow

The lovely hotel staff let us check in at 10am and made sure we were away from all of the wedding parties. The room was clean and comfortable and we had a good stay here. Top tip: Bus 140 runs 24 hours from the airport centro to a stop just past the hotel. It only costs 1.45 with an oyster card.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

There's a lovely pub near byr called the White Hart. Just go towards London and then take the second on the left, walk 10 minutes up the road and it's on your left. They have log fires, cask ales and good pub grub. Bus 140 also runs past the pub.

Airport elegance

We had 5 nights at this hotel and travelled into central London on most days. More cost effective than central London hotels.

short stay near LHR airport

This is a modern hotel. Unlike most of the London hotels that guests have to negotiate steps going up and down within the same floor level, the lifts in this hotel get the guests to the floor. This helps when guests have to carry luggage. The lunch menu at the Trunk restaurant is quite limited. The Indian restaurant only opens for dinner starting 6:30pm.

The best way to get to the hotel is by airport hotel shuttle from the London Heathrow airport terminals. It costs GBP5 from the airport. If you purchase the ticket at the hotel, it is GBP4.50.

Great hotel for access to London

I booked this hotel as I was flying out from heathrow but wanted to spend time in London before I flew, and not have to head from Central London to airport with luggage. Concierge were great and advised free bus to local train into London bypassing airport terminals. Train was not heathrow express and took around 45 mins to get into London and cost under 10 pound. When it was time to go back and pick up luggage the concierge organise a cab which arrived in minutes, and the airport was 5min drive. The hotel was extremely busy however the staff were efficient and made my daughter and I feel welcome. Rooms were large and modern. Bed was comfortable. Hotel wifi was inclusive and high speed enabling me to work. I would definitely stay here again and have already recommended this hotel to others. It exceeded my expectations.

Airport hotel for party animals (or coach parties)

I stayed on a Saturday night after a late arrival in Heathrow. My previous experience at Radisson Blu hotels lead me to expect a subdued but pleasant business hotel. This was very different with a gaudy exterior and loud parties everywhere. Perhaps better on other nights. I checked in after a short delay but there were long delays at other times. Pleasant staff but not enough of them on the desk. Hard to find the rooms with many people wandering the corridors looking lost. Once found, the room was quiet with good airconditioning and wifi. Car parking expensive but free on street parking close by.

It used to be good

Very ordinary room overlooking car park, strange intermittent hum from somewhere was annoying. They used to have a delightful Brasserie this has been closed except for special functions, they have opened the Oceania Restaurant which has the most peculiar seating squashy seats which seem to be at a strange height vis a vis the table are difficult to access if seated at table for 4 & the decor is a cross between a chinese restaurant & a sports pub as loud music was playing the evening we there + the room is littered with huge televisions tuned to a sports channel, ideal if you are a football fan. Not sure which market they are going for but think it is downmarket from previous years. The food (we had rib eye steaks which were so badly cooked we called the manager over) is now served on gimmicky small slates & the so called french fries are served in minature ice buckets. Our mostly consisted of bits of overcooked potato bits the sort you get at the bottom of a bag of frozen chips. This was very disappointing & therefore we shall not stay here again. The grand entrance belies the ordinariness.
