Mixed

Enjoyed the stay in the centre of Glasgow. The standard breakfast was very good indeed with good quality sausage, bacon etc and staff punctilious in clearing used dishes. BUT items ordered from the menu were disappointing: for example, a fried egg slithering on a cold plate and possibly the most off-putting eggs benedict ever experienced. The muffin (or circle of white bread) was barely toasted, the 'hollandaise' was cold #and probably from a jar#, and ham also cold - and the plate cold too! Not the ideal way to enjoy a poached egg! The bar area was also unwelcoming for pre-dinner drinks but bedroom and en suite fine so a comfortable couple of nights.

Dining tip: In Hotel

When you ask at reception for recommended restaurants, mention your age! Being sent to 'great place' which is so noisy conversation is impossible is not to everyone's liking!

Disappointing hotel

Unfriendly staff, not informing the customer of enterrance having to walk two blocks with your bags from the car park, didn't tell us about the side door. Book a mr & mrs end in two singles beds. No wifi on the 3 floor yet said to have Wifi. Told management sltill no Wifi. No more Millennium for us.

Super City Break

This hotel has a city centre location close to excellent bars and resturants. Had to visit the infamous Glasgow statue of Wellington with the traffic cone on his head, along with the other iconic location of the necropolis with city view, both just a short walk form the hotel. From check-in to check-out the staff at this hotel are the friendliest staff i have ever come into contact with. Very friendly and professional. The hotel room was perhaps a little tired however it was still exceptionally reasonable.

A one night treat

We travelled by train so location was perfect. The guy at the desk was chatty and helpful. The room was a little shabby but were informed that rooms are being upgraded soon. There was no hot water in the morning for a shower so that was not great but as we were leaving did not see point of complaining. The bar area was a little gloomy but we did not eat at the hotel. I though our stay was good value for money

Nice stay

Was staying with my daughter for a short weekend away. Hotel right next to train station. Room was clean and roomy - (twin room on first floor) No view from window (next to train station - which you could hear announcements if window open). This didnt bother us, but it may bother some people. Staff extremely helpful. Would stay again if price was right.

check in

This was a nostalgia trip for my 86yr old mother, born and bred in glasgow. Hotel was in the perfect spot. Check in did not go smoothly.Lack of staff I think. So we had a bit of a wait. On arrival on the 4th floor we discovered both rooms were doubles. I had booked a double and a twin. I returned to the front desk and Mario was very obliging and switched us immediately. I think perhaps this had been my fault, mix up on online booking. Rooms were clean, with a wonderful view over George Square. We had a splendid time. Staff were all very welcoming and eager to assist. Kind Regards Joyce Hobson

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Get a street map, as the glasgow grid system is a bit confusing, as every 2nd street is a 'no entry'. Hotel does not have private parking, and agreed parking for patrons at buchannan gallaries up behind the hotel is quite a walk back to the hotel. So check in first.
