Dark, dark, dark!

We (my husband and I, and our daughter) were in two Club rooms. As we walked in , we were very pleased with the decor and general room size. We went to find the 'proper' light switch only to discover the rooms were already at maximum brightness. This , coupled with no drawers, set the scene for a weekend where we groped our way around causing mess and mayhem. The mirror was in the very darkest part of the room , too. If you wanted any decent light at all you had to use the bathroom. This meant putting your belongings in the sink as there was no surface or shelf space available in there either. The hairdryer would not reach into the bathroom, the bedside plugs being round pin for some reason. We managed to lose key and a glove. This wasn't an age thing as our daughter is in her twenties. She said to us that her room was even worse than ours - 'At least you have TWO windows!' Saying all that, the staff were cheerful and helpful at all times. The hotel is quite a walk away from George Square. And it's a steep hill up all the way home when you are tired. The bed was extremely comfortable. The sheets were the smoothest ever. To read a newspaper or book, you had to do this from the bed due to lack of light elsewhere.
