Over priced

While the hotel looks nice and has obviously been recently renovated, the staff were rude and very short with requests, as well as bordering on incompetent. Although we arrived after the 2pm check in we were informed our room wasn't ready and had to wait for another 20 minutes. The rooms themselves look nice, but the bed is incredibly springy and not comfortable. It was a in a good location, close to pubs, restaurants and the Kelvin Grove art gallery. While the hotel was a comfortable place to stay, it wasn't value for money and the interaction with the staff really detracted from the experience.

Nicely refurbished hotel

The hotel looked very nice on the pictures and I had some expectations for what I would find. The hotel's design is one of the selling points of the hotel, however I'm afraid it didn't reach all the rooms, as they were rather generic. The room was decently sized - no need to walk sideways to reach the farthest side of the bed. Bed was comfortable and the linens were impeccably clean. The continental breakfast is basic, and the full breakfast is what you would expect. The location is not ideal, but is still good - 10 mins bus ride to the city center. The staff is accommodating yet somewhat distant. Id stay there again, unless I find something more less expensive in the city center. Its a nice hotel, but wont create a lasting impression.

Perfect for our requirements

Our stay was most enjoyable, staff were excellent, Hotel was very clean and modern. Our only gripe would be parking, hotel parking was full and trying to park on street was a bit of a nightmare.

Perfect for Concert Visit

Booked to stay at this hotel with 9 friends for a concert at Hampden Park. Was a bit of a walk from Queen Street Station, so would recommend jumping in a taxi - worth the £6/£7 or so that you will pay. Greeted by friendly staff at reception and all 9 were checked into their rooms with ease. As we were there as a group, would have preferred if our rooms were closer together - we were split on 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th floors. However - that is my only negative - rooms were comfortable and clean enough (minus the odd stain on the decorative throws and cushions on the bed -I just threw them off). Hote bar was lovely as were the cocktails. Would recommend and wouls certainly stay here again. Bargain for the price we paid (£40 per double room - single occupancy)

Good location, good price

Stayed here twice now, both times the staff had some troubles with the computer system but were very apologetic about the delay. Hotel rooms are clean and nicely decorated, ideal location and very well priced.

Small rooms but well decorated and kept. Nice location within walking distance to West End - several restaurants and pubs on the same street. Would stay here again.
