Business Trip

Always a pleasure to stay at this Hotel, but i must have picked the wrong days this time? at half eleven at night, the fire alarm went off and everyone followed the fire escapes to the outside where it was sub-zero temperatures and hail? took around 15 mins for the fire brigade to let us back into the lobby, then waited a further 15 mins before we where allowed to return to the rooms. also had no Hot water one morning and had the coldest shower known to man..? otherwise it was a nice experience....

Perfect Location

We stayed at The Crowne Plaza Glasgow as we were attending a concert at The Hydro. The location was perfect a 10min strolll away. We had a meal in the hotel restaurant before hand which was excellent value £29.99 for two courses with a glass of wine each for my wife and myself. Rooms were good size and comfortable. Staff were all very polite and helpful. We would use this hotel again.

Good

Good hotel but the only problem with our room was the air-con was noisy and the room was hot with it off. Good view of the Clyde

Perfect for family stay or business in Central Glasgow

Ideally situated on the river for the SECC, Riverside Museum, paddle steamer Waverley and Glasgow Science Centre. We rented two rooms for a family weekend, and were impressed by the overall atmosphere of the hotel and the helpfulness of all staff whom we encountered. Young children eat free, which is a pleasant bonus. Quality of food was good, with a number of menu options between the restaurant and the bar. Pool is easily accessible and well-kept. Would definitely return.

The SECC has a hugely varied programme throughout the year and is literally on the doorstep. The science centre is just over a footbridge, and well worth a visit, especially for children.

Excellent hotel and location for

Excellent hotel and location for show at SECC. Only downfall was trying to book the restaurant at 9.20pm when it said it closed at 10pm. We were directed to the bar area but about 30 people were waiting to be served and there were no seats available. We walked 10minutes to another restaurant!

It was a fine example of the type.

It was a fine example of the type. More expensive than I'd usually choose, but in the perfect location as we were arriving at the jetty on the Clyde which is right outside the hotel. Only downsides we remember were the bar staff who got completely confused about our dinner order and charging us for it - but they apologised nicely and rectified it quickly; and pillows all too big and bouncy - nicer to have some like that and some a bit more floppy. Oh and there were 7 sachets of decaff and no caffeinated coffee with the kettle. As usual not enough milk.

Very convenient for SSEC and fairly close to City Centre. Tile grouting in bathroom needs looked at. Bedrooms are nice and fresh and clean. Lounge bar area a bit bright and needs updated.
