Great location

This hotel is in a great location, serves good breakfasts and has the best showers ever! However, staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming on arrival, bedroom was so small one could hardly move around, bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were too hard/firm to sleep on.

Great location

This hotel is in a great location, has everything you need and is clean. However, staff unfriendly and gruff on arrival, bedroom too small, bed uncomfortable and pillows too hard to sleep on. Positives - best shower ever! Great breakfast. Five minutes walk to Princes Street.

Beauriful and Spacious Room

We stayed in Queen's Guest House for 1 night in Scotland. Six of us stayed in one room. We were surprised on how big the room is! We got the one for 6 people - with 2 double beds, 1 single bed and 1 sofa bed. And the room is really beautiful and big. The room even has a chandelier! There's also a rug carpet elfor every bed. The beds are very comfortable as well. We also appreciated the complimentary Scottish cookie and candies. And the best thing about it, the cost of our stay for 1 night is so affordable. Its almost half the price of our stay in London. I will definitely go back here.

Unhappy traveller

I stayed 2 nights in this accommodation. The initial appearance of the room was quite good. Then I soon discovered a broken shower head that continued to fall from stand, the only safe way to shower was to hold it. Noisy floorboards. Could hear people coming and going. Room did not get serviced at all. Staff told me that the reason was that I had left do not disturb sign on door, this was not the case at all. Bed was uncomfortable. Looks can be deceiving.

Great location - we'll be staying here again!

We had an amazing stay at the Queen's Guest House. It was close to everything, very clean and beautiful ambience, and the staff and food was tremendous. The only thing is that the other guests would sometimes come in late and slam their doors. Not such a big deal and everything else was amazing. We'll be staying here again!

Excellent location - good value

The hotel is located not far from the main Edinburgh attractions and the shopping district - an easy walk. It has clean and reasonable sized rooms. Bathroom was excellent! Staff are very friendly, breakfast was excellent too - try the haggis! Note: If you have booked the rooms on-line check when you arrive that the whole amount has been paid for (which is what we thought) - or whether it was just a deposit! This caught us out which spoilt our stay in the end - Check first if in doubt. However we would stay there again!
