The Hot-el Apartments Edinburgh Waterfront comprise a number of luxury suites situated in the Western Harbour of the Port of Leith. Guests can enjoy stunning views over the Firth of Forth whilst being only two miles from the city centre, a journey made easy due to a frequent bus service which runs to Princes Street. Visitors can then access attractions such as Edinburgh Castle and The Palace of Holyrood House (HRM Queen Elizabeth's royal residence).
General

There are secure underground parking facilities, wireless Internet access availability and cots and high chairs can be provided.

Follow the road until you reach a roundabout and take the 2nd exit, following signs for The Western Harbour Development, The Element and David Lloyd Gym. Follow this road until you reach the last block on the left, Western Harbour Midway. Turn left and follow the road down to the water, the reception is located on the right hand side at the Waterfront Cafe. Payments via credit card will attract a 2.5% surcharge. Security deposit of £200 or 50% of booking value, whichever is greater.

Free underground car parking.
Location

The Edinburgh Waterfront Ho-tel apartments have an array of trendy pubs, bars and restaurants on the doorstep, and shops at Ocean Terminal are popular with tourists. Plus, no visit would be complete without a trip to The Royal Yacht Britannia which is moored in the near vicinity.

From Waverly Bridge cross right over Princes St. onto South St Andrew St. Turn left onto St Andrew Square and take the first right Follow St Andrew Square and take the second right onto Queen St. From Queen St. head along to York Place At traffic signals continue until you reach Picardy Place roundabout. Turn left (1st exit) at the roundabout and head past The Edinburgh Playhouse (on the right) until you reach another roundabout Go straight over the roundabout (1st exit) and follow Leith Walk until the road forks. At these traffic signals turn left onto Great Junction St. Take the second left onto Lindsay Road Follow the road until you reach a roundabout and take the 2nd exit, following signs for The Western Harbour Development, The Element and The Next Generation Gym Follow this road until you reach the last block on the left, Western Harbour Midway. Turn left and follow the road right down to the water, the reception is located on the right hand side at the Waterfront Cafe.
Dining

The Edinburgh Waterfront apartments are self-catering but are ideally situated for eating out with a multitude of international restaurants close by. Guests receive a welcome pack on arrival which includes tea, coffee, milk and sugar.
Rooms

Accommodation units come with a fully fitted kitchen and range of modern appliances including a washing machine, dishwasher and refrigerator. A flat screen TV, DVD Player and dining table all add to the 'home away from home' feeling.

Children under 12 stay free of charge.

Disappointed

Be aware that you are basically renting an apartment in a high rise where others people/families are conducting their everyday lives. Apartment is in need of a freshen up and some basic maintenance. Cracked and wobbly tiles on the floor of both bathrooms, a limited amount of hot water ( about 1.5 showers worth), 1 bedside lamp in a double room?? And bulb not working in it. Free Wi-fi would not connect. TV signal intermittent. No toiletries/hair dryer. Also be aware that you will be charged £100 on arrival (even though I had already paid for the room) as a refundable deposit. You will be charged £10 per hour for checking out after 10am. The reception is only manned till 8pm so you can't phone to get help with anything like the wi-fi or TV after this time. Non emergency phone calls are charged at £50. We did not use the kitchen facilities. I asked for mid floor apartment with views of river or Fife coast. Apartment on ground floor v noisy as we could hear everyone come and go through security entry door. Bedroom windows also look onto entrance to underground car park and even with curtains closed car lights still shone in. Very disappointed.

Very Friendly Reception Staff.

Very Friendly Reception Staff. Excellent Location. Only difficulty was moble phone reception fot T mobile was very poor - Have stayed in other aprtments in same block but on a different side and reception Ok. Wi Fi for computer excellent though. Will definately stay again.

The apartment was very clean and

The apartment was very clean and was close to a supermarket so very convenient. New building & the only dissapointment was that there was construction that blocked some of the view of the Firth of Fourth. Not far from downtown Edinburgh by car and very close to the Royal Yacht Brittania that is moored in Leith.

these are new apartments and are

these are new apartments and are the worst built i have ever encoutered. some lights didn't work; there were exposed wires; the elecrritcal fittings had not been finished properly; the cheapest materials and furniture had been used. the garage was not kept locked so security was poor
