Fab stay

Good central location for sightseeing. Located in a busy area but was unexpectedly quiet for sleeping . Excellent restaurant s near by . The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was quirky but had some lovely festures such as decent coffee and a selection of chocolate tea cakes ... Definitely will be back... Thankyou grass market for Making my first visit to Edinburgh memorable ..

Cool little place in the middle of historical town

we arrived early at the hotel, our room not ready in 4 hours time so we leave our bags with the reception and went out for quick walk. Location was perfect just minutes walk to main attraction. We love the breakfast next door HULA they made lovely juices and smoothies Back at the hotel, our room is ready for us to check in. Although the size is rather small but we love the style of the room, cozy double bed and the dandy theme definitely give it an extra funky feeling. It was my boyfriend birthday and the staff gave him a birthday card and sweets which was lovely and thoughtful. Also thank you for our G1 card which was very useful for getting 20% off drinks and 30% off food discount at some places so it was a bonus too. Definitely coming back!!!!

A Bit Wee

Rooms are definitely on the small side, with hardly room to unpack a suitcase. No bath, and the shower has a large drench head and not enough water pressure to handle it. Consequently the showers are more of a dribble than a flood. Good wifi bandwidth. Breakfast is provided in the pub next door, and was very nice. They have an interesting decor - Beano comic wallpaper! My TV when I turned it on wasn't set up and I had to go through 30 minutes of initial configuration before I could watch anything. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Overall OK, but you certainly pay a premium for the location.

The hotel was very shabby and

The hotel was very shabby and must be due for decorating!!! reception, certain staff could and should be more friendly and give customers information on the events and features of Edinburgh!! Useful if you are not a local to Scotland!! The food in the pub next door is good however the portions could be more generous! The noise coming from this was loud and if staying at the front would be uncomfortable however it rained so this was helpful as we stayed at the front.

A perfect hotel for a stay in

A perfect hotel for a stay in Edinburgh. Nice and friendly personal and a nice clean room (no 401) for a cheap price. The room was close to the elevator, but we nerver heard any noice from it. Even the location is very good (close to the royal mile and Edinburgh castle). Would gladly recommend it to anyone is going to visit Edinburgh!

I have read a few reviews regarding

I have read a few reviews regarding this hotel, to be honest i was worried when i got there! I was pleasantly surprised! The hotel was spotlessly clean, we ended up with a triple for the price of a twin...so their was loads of room. My only complaint would be that the room was very warm! Just typical British hotels where there usually isnt the need for AC. The roadway was a bit noisy when the windows were open..but Hey what do you expect its a busy city!
