West Pilton hotels
The West Pilton neighbourhood of Edinburgh, Scotland is part of the massive regeneration project going on in the city centre that aims to turn formerly impoverished areas into thriving suburbs. West Pilton has long been considered one of the poorest parts of Edinburgh, with the skyline dominated by tenement housing and council estates. Now many of these are being torn down and replaced with more modern housing aimed at young professionals that work Downtown, to the southeast. This progress has brought the standard improvements in restaurants and shopping that add to the neighbourhood’s blend of old and new.
