West End hotels
The West End is a part of the city centre of Edinburgh, Scotland and is known as the cultural heart of the city. This is the location of many of the city’s most prominent arts venues and also the home to a bevy of restaurants and popular pubs, making it the centre of nightlife in the city. The area features winding, cobbled streets and rows of terraced houses that are great for exploring. West End is only minutes away from Old Town and New Town but it feels as though it a million miles away.
- Visit the northern half of the West End, where you will find beautiful rows of Georgian terraced houses in the West End Village, a secret gem in Edinburgh that is now a World Heritage Site.
- Catch a classical music performance at Usher Hall, a historic music venue in the West End that has been one of Edinburgh’s top concert venues since it first opened in 1914.
- Come to the West End’s Edinburgh Filmhouse for the Edinburgh International Film Festival, where filmmakers and movie stars from around the world convene for screenings.
Edinburgh features a dense network of public transportation that makes it easy to get to the West End from just about anywhere in the city. People using the train can get off at the Haymarket station that is a great starting point for exploring the neighbourhood.
