Meadow park hotels
The Meadows, also known as Meadow Park, is a well-known public space south of the centre of Edinburgh, Scotland. This huge park is made up of beautiful trees and green, open prairies. The park is divided into several sections that consist of a playground for kids, a golf course, and a number of tennis courts. The Meadows is also home to different festivities and events year round. Many locals and tourists come to this popular park for music and art festivals, various sports events, and fireworks shows. When you visit the Meadows, you can enjoy alternative and relaxing views of Edinburgh Castle and Arthur’s Seat.
- Make your way to Edinburgh in the month of March for your chance to participate in the annual Meadows Marathon; this marathon is a non-for-profit race held in the Meadows on the first Sunday in March.
- Head over to George Square, located across from this Edinburgh parkland—a historic area that is home to one of the campuses of the University of Edinburgh, the Appleton Tower, and a park of its own.
- Attend the popular Edinburgh Festival Fringe at the Meadows for an opportunity to see comedy and theatre performances by local artists.
