Marchmont is primarily an upscaleresidential area of Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh, with attractive 4-storey Victorian and Edwardian-style residential buildings dotting its landscape. It is near the city centre, and approximately a little over a kilometre from the Old Town.It is a popular hangout for students, given its proximity to two major universities. Black Cabs are available outside both stations, the airport, major city hotels, and on most streets.Two companies, ‘Lothian’ and ‘First’, run buses to all parts of the city. From the city centre, Marchmont is easily reachable by foot.
