Marchmont is primarily an upscaleresidential area of Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh, with attractive 4-storey Victorian and Edwardian-style residential buildings dotting its landscape. Long-distance trains run to Waverley Station, the main transportation hub located between New and Old Towns.Haymarket Station, located in the heart of the city is another convenient detraining point. Black Cabs are available outside both stations, the airport, major city hotels, and on most streets.Two companies, ‘Lothian’ and ‘First’, run buses to all parts of the city. From the city centre, Marchmont is easily reachable by foot.
