Edinburgh Airport hotels
Explore the thriving capital of Scotland and its many historic and cultural attractions by booking a flight to the Edinburgh Airport. Located just outside the city centre of what is considered one of Europe's most picturesque cities, the Edinburgh Airport services flights from several international cities, including Newark, London, Amsterdam, and Madrid. First opened in 1977, the city's airport has had a lot of investment over the years and is now opened 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and services some 9 million passengers passing through every year.
- The Edinburgh Airport is a transatlantic airport and the busiest airport in Scotland, with two runways serving flights from New York, Holland and Spain.
- The airport is located just 12 kilometres away from the Edinburgh city centre, and there are convenient transport links available to and from the airport, including coaches, taxis, and cycles.
- Travellers may enjoy the airport's many amenities, including convenient nearby hotels, on-site business and conference centres, and car rental facilities within the airport.
There are three transportation options to get visitors to and from the Edinburgh Airport. The Airlink 100 shuttle bus provides routes from the Edinburgh city centre directly to the airport terminals. Depending on the amount of city traffic, the shuttle can get travellers into nearby Waverley from the airport in approximately 25 minutes. Another option is the bus number 35, which runs to the city centre but makes several other stops on the way. Visitors also have the option of taking a taxi from the taxi rank located outside the main terminal building.
