Known for its chalky white cliffs, this town will lure visitors with its natural beauty, castles and colourful gardens. Getting There & Around
Most travellers fly into Heathrow, Gatwick or Kent International. Since Kent is only 40 minutes away, this airport may be a better choice for some visitors. The National Express operates coach routes between London and Dover.
Upon arriving in Dover, visitors find two long-distance footpaths: the Saxon Shore Way and North Downs Way. There are two cycle routes as well for visitors who like to travel about on two wheels. Dover has well-marked motorways and is easily travelled and accessed by car.
